PACKAGING WASTE SORTING PLANTS

Packaging waste sorting plants is used to sort and group the packaging wastes collected at the resource. Being managed from the fully automatic control room (SCADA), the plants shall sort the glass, metal, aluminum, plastic and paper products in ballistic, optical and eddy current separators.

Being the advanced technology of product, these separators sort the packages by color, weight, thickness and magnetism. Sorted package wastes are prepared for being delivered to the relevant recycling plants via bale press machines.

1 FULLY AUTOMATIC (SCADA) CONTROL ROOM

The waste rehabilitation unit with fully automatic control system is equipped with high-technology automation and electronic systems, and the control unit providing a detailed view of the entire plant offers single point solutions for failures, emergencies, maintenance and maintenance recommendations and supports the system with the trouble-shooting recommendations and provides maximum efficiency.

2 WASTE ADMISSION AREA

This area is the waste admission area of the waste sorting and rehabilitation plants. All the packaging wastes are collected from the city and then delivered to this plants for recycling after the sorting process.

3 BAG OPENING / DOSING MACHINE

After the waste admission area, the waste materials start a journey towards sorting and recycling. In the 2nd stage of the operation, the bags are slit in the bag opening machine and the contents are carried to the trommel screen by the conveyor.

4 TROMMEL SCREEN

The packaging wastes are sorted by their sizes in trommel screen and then they are directed to the separators.

5 - 6 METAL SEPARATOR MAGNET

In this section, the metals in the waste are separated by magnets before loading on the carrier.

7 BALLISTIC SEPARATOR

The ballistic separator is an essential component of the waste sorting plant. The main purpose of the ballistic separator is separating the 2Dimensional/Light 3Dmensional/heavy waste fractions from each other to ensure high separation efficiency in the further processes. Benli Geri Dönüşüm manufactures the ballistic separator, for which “know-how” transfer was made from Europe, in Turkey.

8 OPTICAL SEPARATOR / 2 DIMENSIONAL FRACTION (PAPER)

Optical separators are programmed to detect 2 dimensional materials and the paper is detected excellent accuracy and sent to the conveyors automatically.

9 OPTICAL SEPARATOR / 3 DIMENSIONAL FRACTION (PE, PP)

The 3 dimensional products separated by the ballistic separator sort PE and PP plastics. The optical separator carries out the sorting operation with a high speed of 3.5 meters per second, which means a 20 times faster operation as compared to separation by an operator.

10 OPTICAL SEPARATOR / 3 DIMENSIONAL FRACTION (PET)

In the 2th stage, PET’s are separated automatically. The optical separator carries out the sorting operation with a high speed of 3.5 meters per second, which means a 20 times faster operation as compared to separation by an operator.

11 EDDY CURRENT SEPARATOR (ALUMINUM)

In this section, the non-magnetic aluminum type of materials are detected by the eddy current sensor separators and sent to the aluminum conveyor band and then to the appropriate bunker.

12 VACUUM LINE

The nylon bags are delivered manually to the vacuum tunnel among the wastes which are moving on the conveyors. These wastes shall be carried to the storage unit through the vacuum line.

13 BUNKERS (11 PIECES)

All the components sorted are stored in the special bunkers to be transferred to the bale press at the appropriate times.

14 BALE PRESS

The bale press compresses the products arriving from the bunkers according to their proper categories to be sent to the storage areas and the appropriate industrial plants to be recycled by the categories.
